Roadmap For Case Processing

– Our medical team is a group of highly qualified doctors who specialize in radiological diagnosis and have good experience in handling the process of preparing teleradiology reports for different imaging modalities.

– The basic teleradiology system consists of three major components: an image-sending healthcare facility, a transmission network, and a receiving/image review platform. In our department, we have a fourth component which is a rechecking component for 2nd review and more than one consultation to be considered.

– We are dedicated to delivering exceptional teleradiology services to our patients, hospitals, and communities we serve in Egypt and other countries.

– Since 2017 we have been providing teleradiology services, we have built up long-lasting partnerships with clients to ensure their emergency rooms and most of their vulnerable patients are cared for concerning diagnostic testing no matter the time of day.

– We have built a reputation for providing excellent radiology read interpretations, expedited turnaround time, quality patient care, and dependability.

Roadmap for case processing in our platform:

Submission:

1. Receiving the case on a 24/7 teamwork cooperation service basis.

2. Review the images to make sure that they follow the original protocols with accepted quality standards regarding: image quality, positioning, history, patient information (name, age, and gender), contrast media, proper image timing, and available old studies for comparison.

3. Sending the images to the consultant:

– Accepted cases will be sent according to the radiologist subspecialties and the consultant will be informed if the study was sent as an emergency to consider time limitations.

– Rejected cases will be sent back to the healthcare facility after immediate connection to explain what is missing and how to solve the problem and send the case back to us for interpretation.

Assigning:

1. Either directly assigning emergency cases or indirectly by sending the accepted cases for interpretation to ready for assign pathway.
2. Each active consultant working on the platform will be able to withdraw from the ready for assign pathway according to the subspeciality which is set up before with the consultant.

Diagnosis:

1. The consultant will be able to evaluate the case and have the opportunity to download images, reconstruct certain modalities, and request more information or complementary modalities (like x-ray or ultrasound…etc) targeting to get the best results for diagnosis and findings evaluation.
2. The consultant can notify us if he would like to get a 2nd opinion for certain cases.

Reviewing:

Once the consultant finishes the case, we immediately receive the case in the “ready for review” section.
1. We start reviewing again the history, protocols, contrast if any, timing, image quality, findings, the report outline, and finally check the report preview for unexpected typo errors, The signature, and logo are also checked before finalizing the case.
2. If an issue is found with the previously mentioned parts, we send the case to the ”recheck” section and discuss with the consultant about any unclear points or give him a message from the healthcare facility.

Rechecking:

2 types of rechecking are considered in Rology platform:
1. Recheck of cases with inquiries received from the hospital or center.
2. Recheck cases that require a 2nd look or discussion after being reviewed by our medical team.

Running out of time and out of time sections:

These 2 sections are unique in our platform to notify the medical and the customer support teams that the expected time for each case to be reported is running out or already finished. So rapid action has to be taken.

Artificial intelligence introduction:

A new update merged with our platform to add to the process of diagnosis and reporting. The medical staff are working on developing automatic detection of abnormal findings even before the consultant starts to interpret the case. One of the pillars of Rology’s platform has always been leveraging AI to improve outcomes and operational efficiency and the technical team works tirelessly to ensure they deliver a pipeline of innovation with AI, including early detection.

Mission statement:

Any case sent to our platform has to pass through all these 6 steps with direct and rapid action for each case through our online working space. The goal is to ensure efficient and effective radiology reading reports with turnaround times that exceed industry standards. Every community we service should have the benefit of patient care that includes detailed radiology reports for the most optimal outcomes. We build a cohesive relationship with ER departments, doctors, technicians, and hospital administrations that act as the cornerstone for the values of Rology reporting network.
